Chocolate figures can be made from dark, milk, white chocolate, or couverture. Depending on preferences and needs, you can create single-color figures or use two or even three types of chocolate to make various designs. These chocolate figures will decorate baked goods. I especially recommend them for decorating cakes, cupcakes, such as "Guinness chocolate muffins", desserts, and ice cream.
Ingredients for about 20 hearts:
- 100g white chocolate
- 40g dark chocolate
Additionally:
- cookie cutter
Preparation:
- Chop the white chocolate and melt it in a water bath.(You can find more about melting chocolate and tempering here: "Melting Chocolate / Tempering Couverture – Step by Step")
- Pour the melted chocolate onto baking paper and spread it evenly with a knife to a thickness that is not too thick but also not too thin.
- Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Using a small spoon, spread the chocolate over the white chocolate.
- Leave at room temperature to set. The chocolate should harden but not be completely solid (otherwise, it will crumble when cutting).
- When the chocolate is ready, carefully cut out the figures using any cookie cutter or slice the chocolate into any pieces with a knife. Leave it to set completely.

- Carefully remove the figures from the paper.
